Easy One-Pot Meals to Cook While Camping

1. Hearty One-Pot Chicken & Rice

A camping classic, this meal is packed with protein and carbs to keep you energized.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Heat a Fukuro non stick pan over a campfire or portable stove.
  2. Add some oil, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the diced chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Add rice, mixed vegetables, broth, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  6. Stir occasionally and serve hot!
 

  2. Campfire Beef & Vegetable Stew

  This hearty stew is perfect for chilly camping nights and can be made in    a stainless steel cookware Malaysia pot.

  Ingredients:
  • 500g beef chunks
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
   Instructions:
  1. Heat a large stainless steel cookware pot over the fire and add a little oil.
  2. Brown the beef for 5 minutes, then add onions and cook until soft.
  3. Add potatoes, carrots, beef broth, and canned tomatoes.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  5. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until beef is tender.
  6. Serve warm with bread or rice.
